Milsey House is a most impressive six bedroomed holiday home, with the golden beach of Milsey Bay just steps away from the front door and providing uninterrupted, breathtaking views towards the Bass Rock, the Fife coastline and up the Firth of Forth. It is also only a few moments from the harbour and award winning Scottish Seabird Centre - and within walking distance of the restaurants, cafes and shops in town.
Situated mainly on the first and second floors of this grand house, this beautiful home has been designed to offer spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to twelve guests. There are lots of lovely details in the interior of the house adding real cool seaside chic. The cottage-style entrance to the property is through the back courtyard garden, straight into a games room - with full sized table tennis table - and plenty of storage for outdoor gear and golf clubs. There is also a utility cupboard housing the washing machine and dryer.
At the turn of the stairs to the first landing, patio doors open out on to a large decked area with views across open grassland and up to North Berwick Law. There is a table and chairs to sit and enjoy a leisurely breakfast or evening meal al fresco on this south facing sun-trap.
On the first floor there is a large kitchen with Aga, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and all the usual kitchen utensils, also a table and chairs for informal eating. There is a separate dining room, which has a small sofa and occasional chairs. The sitting/drawing room is a most attractive space, well furnished with three sofas and a coal/wood fire, TV and DVD/video players. There is additional seating in the bay window - where you can admire the amazing views and watch the world go by!
Also on this level there is a family bathroom with original bath, wc and basin in white, as well as two bedrooms, a double (with extra single bed) and a single - both with the same magnificent views over the beach.
On the mezzanine to the second floor there is a separate wc, and then on to the top floor where there are four further bedrooms and a shower room with large walk in shower and wash hand basin. Two bedrooms to the front – one twin-bedded, the other a ‘family’ room with large double and single – and two to the back overlooking the grassed tranquillity that is Cow’s Green (bring your own cow!), one a double and the other with twin beds. There is also a small ‘children’s’ sitting room equipped with books, games and a sofa/bed.
This property benefits from full gas central heating and there is parking for one car – although on-street parking is rarely a problem.
